Grunty fun for everyone
There’s truly nothing better than seeing smiles light up the Dig This field – and the team was stoked to be able to give some of our latest guests, Johran and Jonti, an epic adventure that left them grinning from ear to ear.
Johran was born with a condition that means he uses his feet, rather than his arms, to do things – even fishing! He’s also profoundly deaf with a cochlear implant. He and his family and friends use sign language to communicate with one another. Jonti, meanwhile, has a prosthetic leg (his Grandad, who booked in the boys’ mini digs, affectionately calls him ‘the Bladerunner’!)
Their visit to Dig This was a family affair, with lots of extended whanau members coming to watch the boys give all the fun a go.
Proving Dig This Invercargill really is grunty fun for everyone, Johran and Jonti didn’t let their disabilities stop them and they absolutely smashed it behind the controls of our mini diggers.
The Dig This team was humbled to help the boys have a heap of fun, and can’t wait to see them when they return for a birthday party later in the year. Mā te wā, Johran and Jonti!
